GoPro release flat-front dive housing.

    In response to a large number of users comments GoPro have released their flat fronted lens for the Hero and Hero2. This will give an OEM option to users wishing to film underwater who have, up until this point had to use third party manufactures products.

    Not much point in posting a "rate my purchase" thread as I've no pics to prove it, but I've just put one of these babies on pre-order from Dogcam.

    I was looking through some underwater footage from Thailand and its pretty dismal in terms of quality so I sorted one this morning as we're off to Zante to harpoon some Turtles in August.

    Stock arrives sometime next week.

    I have a colleague who said exactly the same - again in Thailand funnily enough. They too were disappointed by the footage so I think this is really a great addition to meet the users needs - great CS from GoPro.

    This was in relation to my "extracting stills from a gopro" thread somewhere else, I've downloaded the reccomended software and its dead easy to do but I think the best results in a frame will be a string of smaller 6x4 snaps rather than one big one.
